This lecture was organized by the Students' Psychology Association of the University of Ljubljana on the 22nd of February, 2006. The topic of the lecture was "Psychological Aspects of Buddhism and it's application". This lecture was held by Mr. Shilarakkhit (M.A. in Educational, Organizational and Differential Psychology; University of Munich, Germany).
I was born in Bangladesh and completed my first degree (B.A. Hons. in Psychology) in 2001 from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. I studied and practiced Theravada Buddhism,Buddhist Psychology & meditation for 13 years. By now, I have Completed my M.A. (Master of Arts) in Educational, Organizational and Differential Psychology from the University of Munich (LMU),Germany in 2005. At the moment I am a Ph.D. student of the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. At present, I live in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Within a short period of time I have conducted couple of seminars and hope to conduct few more in the near future. I have done a research in Educational Psychology, too. My area of studies are: General Psychology, Counseling, Personality Psychology, Motivation and Emotion,Theravada Buddhism, Buddhist Psychology, Buddhist Meditation and Buddhist Psychotherapy. At the same time, I'm focusing on the education of Primary and Secondary School students. Based on the Organizational Psychology; I am interested on Motivational, Emotional and Personal affects of workers' in Organizations. Beside all these, I am an Associate member of the American Psychological Association (APA).
